Festival of Breckland
Welcome to the Festival of Breckland.
The one stop shop for all the festival events on offer across the district. We have an exciting programme of events and activities lined up to celebrate the sixty year reign of Queen Elizabeth II in 2012 and London 2012.
Our diverse programme of events has been carefully selected to provide something for everyone and offers family entertainment, sport, art and a host of community projects to get involved in. You can celebrate the Jubilee by lighting a beacon, having a street party or attending the Jubilee Memories exhibition. There really is something for everyone!
The Festival of Breckland is all about encouraging residents to take control of their own events and use their imaginations to create an event that’s appropriate for them. Our events are designed to celebrate everything that’s great about Britain but also encourages the inclusion of all ages, cultures and backgrounds.
We hope that some of the one off events in celebration of the Olympics and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee will become annual events for our communities, and these events will grow in participation and diversity. Whatever you decide to do, I wish you a most enjoyable time.

Leader – Breckland Council
